We had a wonderful time at the Fête de famille in Lafayette October 13th 2011
Several members of the Boudreaux Family Association joined us in the Cajundome to celebrate our Acadian heritage with othe Acadian families
Our Association had three tables dedicated to our family history, family genealogy, and souviners. We had items like coffee mugs, lapel pins, T-shirts, etc. available for sale.

7th Annual
Acadian Memorial Festival
March 19th.
The Boudreaux and Guillot families Were honored as one of the first Acadian families to settle in Louisiana in a ceremony welcoming representatives of each family coming to the Evangeline Oak down the Bayou Tech.
The Boudreaux Association had a booth set up on the banks next to the Evangeline Oake to help folks with Boudreaux genealogy, accept new memberships along with sales of donated items to help finance some to the organization's projects.

CAFA Scolarship
Universitie Sainte-Anne of Nova Scotia

Every year the Universitie Sainte-Anne of Nova Scotia awards a $1,500 scholarship for a six-week summer program to a French Immersion student. Confederation of Associations of Families Acadian received three entrants this year and one was picked (from a hat.)
The winner was Hailey Vincent from Kaplan, LA
Besides the $1,500 scholarship, Hailey also received donations of $1,000 from CAFA, $500 from the Boudreaux Family Association, and $500 from the Trahan Family Association to help her travel and living expenses.

Submit now for 2012
The Boudreaux Family Association feels like this is an important project designed to keep our young people interested in our Acadian language and culture.
We ask for you to submit the names of interested canditates for the 2012 Scholarship to contact our president, Don Boudreaux, before the next selection is made in March 2012
